056 Question Three

The Battle of Al- Qadissiyah was fought in 636 CE/14 Hijrah during the reign of Umar Ibn Al-Khattab the Second Caliph of Islam. It was the decisive engagement between the Muslim army and the Persians army. Sad bin Abi Waqis was the commander of the Muslim army and Rustam. The Muslims were victorious, Qadissiyah fell into their hands and within a short while peace was restored to an area which once saw fierce fighting and bloodshed.
